You can protect our elections. We can do it together. And we must do it now.
We have curated the most effective actions you can take between now and Election Day - and beyond, if needed - to defend our democracy and ensure that the candidates who we elect are seated in January. We're breaking it down into three categories. Complete these actions and check them off in the form to keep track of your progress!
Elect:
Vote! Whether early, by mail, or on election day, one of the greatest defenses against election interference is an overwhelming number of votes. Need help finding voting locations, what's on your ballot, and more? Check out Vote.org or call or text 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683)!
Connect:
Encourage others to vote! Talking to friends and family, phone banking, and knocking on doors have all been proven to be effective ways to increase the likelihood of voting - by as much as 12% for each contact! Here are some options:
- Vote Tripling:
- Text three others this message: "Hey! The midterm elections are coming up on November 3rd. Have you made a plan to vote?"
- Phone Bank:
- Canvassing:
- Social Media:
- Share this page to let others know about the steps they can take to defend our democracy!
Protect:
Our work isn't done on Election Day. We need to be prepared to respond to any threats that may arise between now and January. In addition to completing this form - so we can keep you up to date on rapid actions, here's what you can do to prepare:
- Sign the national No Kings Election Defense Attendee Pledge.
- Watch the "How to Step Up to Protect the Election 101" training.
- Sign-up to be a poll monitor with Common Cause.
- Put "866-OUR-VOTE" (866-687-8683) in your phone to call or text with any questions or concerns about voting.
